Today, I want to share some heartfelt words, not only to uplift someone else but also to remind myself as we navigate through another unexpected turn. This upcoming Friday marks the closure of our uptown location. Before you react, let me assure you: we're not bidding farewell to our brand or taking a hiatus. This decision came suddenly, a choice I made just days ago after a three-day fast and seeking guidance from God. In the midst of receiving some troubling news that I'm not ready to delve into, I found peace in trusting the process and the season I find myself in.
As a business owner, or simply as someone living life, you may have everything meticulously planned for months or even the entire year, only to be met with swift changes. I spent a whole day in tears, feeling utterly exhausted. I questioned whether there ever comes a point in business where problems cease and blessings flow effortlessly. Have you ever felt that way? After spending hours in a parking lot, I reassured myself that all will be well. I had a profound conversation with God, expressing my desperate need for His guidance more than ever.
During the three-day fast, I began to seek the good in each situation, allowing the problems of one day to wait for my attention on the next. With each passing day, I felt a renewed sense of strength. Then, on Saturday, I informed my landlord of my departure and shared the news with the community on social media. Interestingly, my family found out through social media before I could tell them—truly, there is power in silence.
I'm aware that you might be going through your own challenges, feeling overwhelmed at this very moment. But I want to assure you that change is on the horizon. Reflect on past experiences that seemed insurmountable, yet God made a way. Now, let's pray for an encore of those blessings—not merely to regain what was lost, but to receive even greater blessings.
